We found something interesting we overlooked. When we put ODO up for storage we thought we should remove all the gas in the tank to keep from having it break down into varnish like sediment.

WELL we should have filled the tank 8^( as you see in the picture below, due to the hot and cold changing temperatures we collected a bit of moisture in the tank and completely destroyed the fuel pump and gauge. Lucky for us we had a spare unit and installed it.

On July 1st at 1:00PM we put the battery out of Scarlet (My other car) and ODO sprang to life. After cleaning the #1 spark plug wire at the coil we solved the only problem we came across after his first running. Computers are great as we plugged it in and it pulled up that @1 wire was misfiring. We then took ODO for a spin around the block.

The car sounds great, runs strong, and corners like a rabbit. I forgot how well the 1999 Miata's handled since they are a bit lighter. and the Racing beat sway bars and KYB/AGX 4 way shocks let him zoom around the corners effortlessly.

I am so happy to have my first Miata back up and running since our short circuit in 2005. Thanks to sport Imports for their help, and the purchase of a wrecked 99. I am again one with my Miata.

The Motto at the time was "Get in be moved"

Now which one will I get in and be moved with today??

This is what we started with.                        This is how it looks today.
