The Dash removed for inspection to find any damaged wires or equipment.

Text Box: We took the dash out and inspected the wires, we found no wires showing any damage from the shorting of the alternator which caused our problem.

Text Box: Here is a close-up of the wires on the driver side just right of the steering column. All looked fine here also.

Text Box: This is what the passenger side looks like when you remove the dash. You have to disconnect the linkage from the AC controls to the white box on the far left. To remove this box which holds your heater coil you need to disconnect the heater hoses in the engine compartment.
The controling cables are just held on with clips and the ends slip over the damper controls. The black box holds the AC evaporator. The white box on the right is your fan.

Text Box: This is what the interior looks like when you remove everything behind the dash. We left the AC connected as we did not want to loose the charge. We removed the shifter boots to replace and we filled the upper shifter with new clean oil.
