Sometimes the
Miata is just too bulky, big and slow through the corners...so I take this
instead. It's a '99 Honda VFR800Fi Interceptor. I've had several bikes over
the years but dreamed about owning a VFR since they were first introduced in
'86. I finally bought this one when new and had it ever since. It
definitely lives up to all the rave reviews and positive owner comments that
have been heaped upon it over the years. It's kind of like a two-wheeled
Miata because it's such a great all-a rounder; sporty enough to be fun
but also quite comfortable as a daily commuter or long-haul road tripper.
Honda's "Italian Red" is almost a perfect match for Mazda's "Classic Red"
too! This isn't the most recent photo but it's one of my favorites. That's
me going through turn four of the road course at California Speedway during
Reg Pridmore's CLASS in 2002. I highly recommend this school to anyone that
wants to become a better street rider (and driver.)
Keep the shiny
side up, Mike
